Some statistics claim that the probability of identifying a high performer from the general population using career data alone is 15. The probability increases to 55% when career data is combined with 'targeted' (competency-based) interviews. However, the probability can reach 76% when Assessment/ Selection Centres are implemented.
Assessment/ Selection Centres are typically run across two days and consist of a number of modular activities which are evaluated by a panel of assessors. The activities include: competency-based Interview, written case study, individual presentation, group discussion, and social discourse with panellists during lunch. Psychological assessment tools may also be used, if required.
We also design and implement "Development Centres". Development Centres are very similar to Assessment/ Selection Centres except that they are "formative" rather than "summative". In other words, they focus on the development of participants rather than on making a selection decision. Development Centres are particularly useful for staff development, promotion and succession management.
